Based on the true life story of Swedish jazz legend Monica Zutterlund. Monica, a Swedish small town girl is dreaming of the vibrant city jazz clubs. She embarks on an intense journey in the limelight as a celebrated singer and actress in the golden era of jazz. Among artists and hipsters she is cherished by all but herself as her phenomenal success leaves a trail of broken love affairs and promises.
