Remo (Nahuel Pérez Biscayart) is a star jockey; his lover Abril (Ursula Corberó) is also a jockey. When he suffers an accident, Remo goes on the lam and Abril must find him before a murderous gangster does, in director Luis Ortega’s darkly comedic, stunning modern noir.

From this simple plot comes one of the most intriguing crime films you’ll see this year. Remo was once at the top of his game, an ambitious jockey whose appetites are ruining his career. His lover, Abril, is also an up-and-coming racer, more focused, but her love for Remo complicates matters. On the biggest race day of Remo’s life, he has a severe accident, and flees into Buenos Aires’ underground, hoping to evade mob henchmen. Free from his identity, he starts to discover who he is truly meant to be. Luis Ortega’s lush noir is at once an accomplished thriller and a dreamlike examination of love, identity, mysticism and violence.
