The Iranian Film Showcase invites you to experience a selection of acclaimed new Iranian cinema and films from the Iranian diaspora, from enlightening documentary portraits to vibrant family dramas. Presented in partnership with the Twin Cities Iranian Culture Collective.

MSP Film presents IMAGES of AFRICA, a screening series celebrating Minnesota’s African Diaspora communities through the lens of international cinema.

IMAGES of AFRICA programming is incorporated into MSP Film’s various festivals and film series, including Lumières Françaises, Cine Latino, and MSPIFF, with additional screenings throughout the year at The Main Cinema and with community partners.

IMAGES of AFRICA is supported by the MN Humanities Center with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.

The Black Europe Film Festival returns to the Main Theater and Capri Theater, February 19th-22nd. This year’s selections span geographies and genres—science fiction, documentary, romantic comedy, family drama, and biopic—offering multiple perspectives on the scope and diversity of the Black diaspora. Together, the films take us through landscapes of Blackness rarely centered on screen, from African coastlines and European neighborhoods to Kenya, Spain, and, closer to home, New York and downtown Minneapolis.

Twin Cities Arab Film Festival

TCAFF screens independent films from the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) region and beyond, striving to represent a diverse range of stories and cinematic forms. This year’s festival takes place in-person at The Main Cinema with a special opening night screening at the Walker Art Center.
