Korean actor Jung Woo-sung stars and directs A Man of Reason, a critical favorite at the Toronto International Film Festival about a hitman released from prison who seeks to rekindle his relationship with his ten-year-old daughter.

After a decade behind bars, Su-hyuk (Jung) emerges musing over the wreckage of his life. Retreating to his former girlfriend, Min-seo, he discovers that they have a daughter, In-bi, born when he was in prison. But during his time in lockup, Su-hyuk’s bosses have become somewhat legit, and they’re eager to get one of their best onboard for their schemes… which still involves murder. While his old life comes crashing in on him, Su-hyuk finds some solace in a surprising place. Jung Woo-sung makes an assured directorial debut in this fast-paced action thriller that had audiences on the edge of their seats.
