ABOUT THE FILM
Minnesota Premiere. In search of money and an adventure, Khalid leaves New York City for Europe. However, he soon finds himself in Bulgaria strapped for cash, without his passport, and is the only Black man in a small, coastal town. Unable to convince his family and friends to give him money to return to the US, Khalid begins to befriend the locals in an attempt to make enough money to return to Brooklyn. Through a series of misadventures, Khalid makes unexpected connections which transcend borders and cultures.
ABOUT THE CO-DIRECTOR / LEAD ACTOR
