Blue Heron
Blue Heron
At the end of the last century, Sasha and her family moved to Vancouver Island from Hungary, eager to start a new life. To their dismay, teenage Jeremy, the family’s oldest child, becomes increasingly disruptive and violent. As the family tries to adapt to their new homeland, Jeremy’s behavior isolates the family from the outside world and forces them to make an unthinkable choice. Director Sophy Romvari’s feature debut is a cinematic memoir and heartbreaking look at family and memory that will linger with filmgoers for days.
