Director Rachel Grady Attending

At a Norwegian Folk School located 800 miles north of the Arctic Circle, teenagers learn survival skills in one of the harshest environments on Earth. There they navigate the path to adulthood, learning these skills while forging relationships with their teachers, peers, and the beautiful sled dogs under their care.

Directors Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (a MN native), whose documentaries have graced film festivals for the last two decades, turn their cameras to this incredible school in Pasvik, Norway, where teenagers enroll in a gap year to retreat from the stressful and confidence-destroying world of the internet, and ultimately push themselves toward an inner strength they didn’t know they had.
