Bayu is a trance shaman, using his flute to connect dancers to ancestral animal spirits that bring incredible joy and freedom, despite society’s growing drift away from such traditional practices. Facing eviction, he joins a competition to become the lead spirit channeler, but he must avoid the distractions of the modern world to become the supreme musical shaman. Indonesian director Wregas Bhanuteja has crafted a fun and poignant film about a culture fighting for their traditions while embracing the joys of modern life.
