Rafaela is a young nun in a dying congregation (only 3 others remain), who travels to visit the new archbishop in the hopes of saving her home. Along the way to this distant town on her motorbike, she encounters numerous travelers from every walk of life–including a group of pilgrims to a paratrooper to a wealthy woman–with whom she shares her vision, and who challenge her own beliefs. Director and writer Karla Badillo’s dreamily offbeat debut feature examines the crossroads of religion and dreams set amidst a gorgeous rural Mexican landscape.
