Donghwa is a poet whose girlfriend has finally convinced him to visit her family in a suburb of Seoul. There, he meets her parents and sister and is overwhelmed by the enormity of their home and grounds. As Donghwa begins to settle in, enjoying quiet conversation with the very traditional family, his anxieties suddenly begin to mount. Hong Sang-soo’s newest film is an acutely observed portrait of families and generations.
