Sharon Liese’s powerful documentary about the illegal raid by Marion police on the small town’s newspaper, The Marion County Record. Seizing computers and trying to suppress free speech, the police not only entered offices but the homes of the owners, including the 98-year-old co-owner, Joan Meyer, who died of a heart attack the next day. Liese, shooting shortly after the raid, interviews numerous people from the town, and while the story is enraging, it is also quite humorous and hopeful, as The Marion County Record soldiers on to this day.
